Witness to fierce fighting, the bunker "Cosy" takes its name from Lieutenant W.F "Cosy" Aitken who launched the assault with 10 men from Company B of the Royal Winnipeg Rifles on D-Day.
The Cosy bunker is part of the coded support pointSTP31, its inclination not due to erosion but to an explosion caused by the engineers who came to reinforce during the assault.
