La Tour d'Auvergne execution

In this place, on June 13, 1944, three young resistance fighters named Noël Giaretto, Aimé Desmoulin and Henri Sergère, all aged around twenty, were executed by a group of German parachutists after their convoy, joining the maquis de Pontgibaud, was intercepted at Ayssard.
A few days later, on July 6, 1944, two other resistance fighters were also shot dead in the woods of La Tour d'Auvergne.
