Utah Beach Landing Museum
The Musée du Débarquement Utah Beach was created in 1962 on the very spot where American troops landed on June 6, 1944. In ten chronological sequences, the museum evokes the German occupation, the forces present on the eve of D Day, the Allied strategy and the unfolding of June 6, 1944 in the Utah Beach sector.
Star of the new museum, an authentic Martin B-26 Marauder bomber aircraft is on display in the hall built for it, accompanied by two flight simulators. On leaving the site, visitors will have understood the strategic choice of this Normandy beach and the reason for Utah Beach's military and technological success
