A plaque on the church wall commemorates Thursday, January 20, 1944, when 150 people gathered on the church square and headed for Guilliers, in the "cour de l'école publique". 12 people from Loyat were chosen from among the youngest, 5 of whom returned and 7 of whom did not return from the Nazi extermination camps

Next to it is a monument to the martyred children of Loyat deported to Mauthausen (Bougue Léon, Harel Fernand, Gouello Pierre, Lequitte Adolphe, Garaud Roger, Marot Auguste, Querbouet Pierre).

Behind the monument, a tree with a plaque commemorating all Loyat deportees (Chérel François, Fontaine Roger, Nagat Eugène, Perrier Henri, Ruelland Gabriel).
