Ében-Émael fort
The Fort d'Eben-Emael and its underground complex The underground complex of the Fort d'Eben-Emael is dug into a tufa hill. On the surface, it forms a triangle with a base of 750 m and a height of 950 m. The total surface area of the military estate amounts to 75 ha equivalent to 150 soccer pitches.

Installed in the former premises of the food stores, the museum presents the spectacular attack of May 10, 1940 on the fort and that of the 3 bridges over the Albert Canal located to the north of the fort.

Another part of the museum displays German attack plans, the equipment and composition of German assault groups and the use of their new secret weapon, the shaped charge.

Housed in a former troop room, a small room in the museum allows visitors to learn about life in the Geer valley and feel the terror of its population when the German flying bombs, the V1 and V2, fell.
