On the edge of the D974 departmental road at a place called "Le Bout de la ville" in Blosville, the borne voie de la liberté identified Km 17.
During the Battle of Normandy, the village was liberated on D-Day, June 6, 1944 by the men of the 8th Regiment of the 4th US Infantry Division who landed at Utah-Beach.
