Memorial in honor of the crew of a B-17 Fortress bomber of the 305th Bomb Group366th Bomb Squadron of the 8th US Air Force, shot down by German fighters on  April 16, 1943 while on a mission to bomb the submarine base at Lorient.

1st Lt Homer P. ANDERSEN. Co-pilot, captured and taken prisoner.
2nd Lt Voyle E. SPENCE. Navigator, captured and prisoner.

T/Sergeant Joseph W. TERRELL. Radio, captured and prisoner.
