In tribute to Ernest Sibiril, master builder of the réseau Sibiril. Owner of a shipyard, he smuggled over 200 French and foreigners to England. On reporting, he himself had to borrow one of his ships to cross into England on July 31, 1943. There he became a pilot for the U.S. Navy. Back in France, he was made Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur. Contributed and edited by Isabelle Christien. Photo credit Jacqueline Le Cunff.
