Pvt Andrew Speese, 32, killed in action at Plessis-Lastelle on July 7, 1944, lies in Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial de Colleville-sur-Mer Bloc F Rang 21 Tombe 36
Pvt Virgil John Tangborn, age 22, killed in action at Amfreville while attempting to rescue a brother-in-arms from a burning truck on June 14, 1944 near Amfreville. Rests at the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial, Colleville-sur-Mer, Block E, Rang 25, Grave 20. Silver Star recipient.
